And a tad buggy sometimes, but if you play with it for a few minutes it works. The secret is to wipe the icon on the far right of the item, which makes a delete button appear. At that time I'll upgrade.ĬONS: It did take me a while to figure out how to delete items. The paid version will eventually link to Google Docs. Much better then Penultimate, and waaaaaaay better than Things, which gets bogged down with all the GTD stuff. The developer did a great job of putting all the functionality right on the screen - no sub-pages or sub-menus except for the page that allows you to create additional lists. The data entry is super easy - adding items, deleting items, changing levels, and rearranging items is easy. Very glad I tried this free app before buying yet another expensive overly-complicated program. I suggest you look further before trying this. If you don't need these features - seeing all of you line or adding a lot of text to a line - then the program is fine, but nothing great. I, for one, don't want to spend the money to find out. I got the free version - officially for the iPhone - so perhaps the iPad version doesn't have these problems. ![]() The tutorial is fine & quick, but it doesn't tell you how to move your documents off the iPad (to any other location). (Only the first 10-ish words of this will appear on the main screen.) I would have gotten by using this, but I cannot make the right gesture (swipe from left to right) so that it works - I've spend minutes trying to open a bullet and finally I gave up. ![]() To include more in an item, you can open a whole page and type there. To see these cut-off characters, you have to edit the line, then move the cursor with your arrow keys (if you have a keyboard) or using the text-select option. Only about the first 6 words of any entry are displayed (one line of characters across the screen) I like to write several sentences per line and Outliner just cuts these off at the edge. I really need a program that lets me outline term papers for school on my iPad, and I gave this one a try first. Install Simple Outliner (Free) on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.
